Q: What information do you need to begin my search?

A: KatyLocator can facilitate your search with some basic information, including but not limited to:

  • Names of the renter/applicants?
  • Area of Katy where you would like an apartment?
  • Your target move-in date?
  • Maximum rent you will consider?
  • How many bedrooms?
  • How many bathrooms?
  • Do you have any pets? If yes, what is the breed of pet, age, weight?
  • Do you need washer/dryer connections? Do you need a washer and dryer included with your unit?

Q: Do you charge a fee for location services?

A: No. KatyLocator does not charge tenants any fees. We just ask that you to acknowledge our services by listing the broker of record (Aaron Layman Properties) as your referral agent. The apartment owner will require you to write in the broker’s name on your paperwork, and the broker will then invoice the apartment owner for the referral. There is no charge to you as a tenant.

When visiting apartment properties you will likely be asked to fill out a registration card, or something to the effect of “How did you hear about us?” Just make sure you tell them that Aaron Layman Properties sent you.

Q: Does KatyLocator handle single-family rentals?

A: Yes. KatyLocator (Aaron Layman Properties) can assist you with finding single-family rentals throughout the Katy area. If an apartment is not the right fit for you, Aaron Layman Properties can help you find larger single-family homes for rent or purchase in Katy Texas.

Q: Does KatyLocator help me negotiate my lease?

A: Depending on your situation, the broker may accompany you on your visit to an apartment community and assist you with necessary paperwork. As a licensed real estate broker in the state of Texas, Aaron Layman Properties is happy to answer questions you may have regarding renting or leasing a home.
